Burger Time

Monday, July 20, 2020
Unable to sell their legendary product due to the limited fairgrounds activity at the Putnam County Fair this year, members of America Legion Post 58 in Greencastle conduct a drive-through at the post on Indianapolis Road Saturday. Selling 3,000 Legionburgers Saturday marked the most the Legion has ever sold at a drive-through event. Doug Boetjer (right) scoops up one of the burgers to pass over to Coledon Boetjer (left) as Steve Linton (second from left) and other Legion members and volunteers cook up a storm under the canopy at the front of the post. They’ll be back at it again this Saturday, July 25 from`10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the post.

  • I think this is great and appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. However, it would seem appropriate that persons preparing food should be encouraged to wear face masks.
