Up a Tree

Thursday, July 23, 2020
Employees at the Dollar Tree on Greencastle’s east side got an unexpected surprise after a truck drove into the storefront Thursday morning. The vehicle is loaded onto a wrecker following the incident.

Meanwhile, Assistant Fire Chief Rob Frank and firefighters Jonny Newgent, Jason Simonson and Paul Hinton (from left) sweep up the broken glass. The driver’s foot got stuck between the gas pedal and the brake pedal, causing the truck to crash into the building. No one was injured. Both the Greencastle Fire Department and Greencastle Police Department were on the scene, and Jerry’s Wrecker Service picked up the damaged vehicle. Damages were estimated at about $6,000.

Didn't something similar happen when Dollar Tree was on the other side?
