Like No Other

While the Ivy Tech ASAP program promises a unique learning experience, none of the eight graduates of Cohort No. 4 at Ivy Tech Greencastle could have imagined what their 11-month learning experience would entail. However, they persevered together, through the intensive study and the challenges of COVID-19.

Accepting their diplomas Thursday evening did not involve a handshake, but grabbing the diploma and a custom-made cookie off a freshly-cleaned table before posing for family members to take pictures, as Mason Frazier (right) is doing with ASAP Director Jake Widner standing nearby by, but not too nearby.

Serving as student ambassador for the cohort, Olivia Denny not only led her classmates to the ceremony, but also spoke on their behalf, noting “eight of the hundreds of high school students in Putnam County decided to embark on an astounding journey.”
