F.C. Tucker Greencastle operation changes ownership, name

F.C. Tucker/Schneider Realtors – part of the F.C. Tucker Co., Indiana’s leading independent real estate company – became F.C. Tucker Advantage, REALTORS® on August 14 with a change in ownership five years in the making.

George and Suzy Schneider, owners of F.C. Tucker/Schneider Realtors, have sold the operation after 24 years to current agents Chris and Michelle Skillern.

The Skillerns had been in ongoing negotiations with the Schneiders after expressing a strong desire to build upon the brokerage’s success and the Schneiders’ leadership.

The COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing stay-at-home restrictions provided the right environment to spend time focusing on succession planning.

“We knew we wanted our future to include growing this brokerage. We wanted to capitalize on all the years of hard work and dedication of George and Suzy, but wanted the timing to fit their needs and ours,” new co-owner Michelle Skillern said. “That soul searching really hit home during the pandemic, and we all decided the time was right.”

With 16 agents housed in their current location at 1013 Indianapolis Rd. in Greencastle, the Skillerns are poised for growth.

“We have a growing and dynamic group of agents who are committed to their clients. Our goal is to create an environment for agents with all the support and resources they need to succeed and create exceptional results for their buyers and sellers,” Chris Skillern said.
