Lenora Mae Melow

Lenora Mae Melow, age 91, Greencastle, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday evening, Aug. 22, 2020.

She was born in Cave in Rock, Ill., on Feb. 15, 1929 the daughter of Wame and Hilda Lowe Maynard.

She married Dwight Melow in 1948 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2016.

She had been a homemaker and mother.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Parker and husband Denny, Diana Denver, Brenda “Sue” Mitchell, Debi Alexander and husband Jim, Barbie Tomasik and husband Ron and Lynette Reid and husband Craig; her son, Dwight “Bill” William Melow; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughters Marlene Melow and Charlene Langley.

The family will have a memorial service at Lenora’s residence, 3410 N. CR 325 East, Greencastle, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29.
