William David Duke Sr.

William David Duke Sr., 72, of Greencastle, passed away on Aug. 23, 2020, at IU Methodist Hospital.

William was born in Paris, Tenn., on March 31, 1948, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Valentine) Duke.

Mr. Duke worked for over 30 years as a tool and die engineer in the automotive industry.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Darlene Duke; five sons, Tommy Woessner (wife Megan), Bill Duke (wife Amy), Josh Duke (wife Jennifer Carrender), David Duke (wife Elizabeth) and Brandon Duke (wife Angelia); a daughter, Misty Duke (husband Bill Mullenix); a brother Kenny Duke; a sister, Brenda Fiddler (Greg); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Pitman officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
