County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 8:39 a.m. Charles P. Cooper, 32, Greencastle, was booked in on a warrant.

Wednesday

• At 9:40 p.m. Cain K. Dyson, 25, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery and interference with the reporting of a crime.

• At 11:02 a.m. Amber G. Keck, 33, Plainfield, was taken into custody on a local warrant and for driving while intoxicated.

Tuesday

• At 7:46 p.m. Brandon W. Wagner, 31, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for domestic battery, invasion of privacy, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 5:28 p.m. Robert H. Yost, 38, Stilesville, was booked in for theft.

• At 11:43 a.m. Donald L. Dixie, 40, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery and resisting law enforcement.

• At 4:20 a.m. Franklin D. R. Boehm Jr., 47, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Monday

• At 7:57 p.m. Scott A. Hockman, 49, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail on a warrant for driving while intoxicated.

• At 2:05 p.m. Joseph C. Little, 34, Poland, was booked in on a Kentucky warrant.

• At 3:43 p.m. James V. Wright, 49, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for theft, criminal trespass, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct, on a warrant for disorderly conduct and public intoxication and on an out-of-county warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 4:21 a.m. Wednesday, Nathen D. Denton, 21, Mooresville, was arrested by Officer Angela Taylor.

Stopped on Bloomington Street, Denton was arrested on a Morgan County warrant for resisting law enforcement. Denton was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 8:13 p.m. Tuesday, Nicholas D. Capps, 24, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Taylor.

Capps was arrested at the Putnam County Jail on a local warrant for domestic battery.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five recent dispatches:

• At 1:33 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Lillienthal House for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 1:34 and determined the alarm was due to a candle. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 1:37 a.m.

• At 9:34 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 3219 W. CR 300 South for a smoke scare. Firefighters arrived at 9:38 and found that wires were melted above the blower of a furnace. The power was shut off, and GFD went back into service at 9:56 p.m.

• At 1:04 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries in front of the Marathon gas station on Indianapolis Road. Units arrived on the scene at 1:07 and consulted with Operation Life. GFD went back into service at 1:08 p.m.

• At 7:44 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Bridges Craft Pizza & Wine Bar for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:46 and were advised that a faulty pull station would be replaced. GFD left at 7:49 p.m.

• At 12:07 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to Delta Upsilon for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:11 and found that a water flow alarm was being replaced after malfunctioning. GFD left at 12:21 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed seven medical assists and had two disregards.
