Sherri A. Neeley

On Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, Sherri A. Neeley, 66, devoted wife and mother, entered into eternal life with her saviour, Jesus Christ.

She was born Dec. 23, 1953 in Troy, N.Y. to Harley C. White (deceased) and Mary F. Birnell (surviving).

On Sept. 23, 1996, Sherri married her truest love, E. Gordon Neeley.

She was preceded in death by her father, stepfather Charles C. Birnell and a daughter, Tanya Neeley.

Sherri is survived by her husband, Gordon; mother Mary Birnell; sons Andy Fraizer (Dana Ross-Fraizer) and Mike Fraizer (Jessica); daughter Dana Calvert (Chris); grandchildren Michael (Lizzie), Jordan, Braeden, Taylor, Courtney and Brantley; and sisters Debbie Chew (Dale) and Cindy Hanks (Tony).

Sherri graduated from Cloverdale High School and the ISU School of Nursing. She retired as director of nursing at Asbury Towers Retirement Community.

Sherri held a deep respect and passion for life. In addition to being an exceptional nurse and an extraordinary cancer warrior, Sherri was a talented seamstress, gardener, Sudoku puzzle master and an amazing cook (known for her homemade biscuits.) She enjoyed crocheting, finding great bargains and long country drives.

Many of her happiest moments were spent caring for others, especially her grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the outdoor pavilion, Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
