Community piano program featured in downtown open house Saturday

Thursday, September 24, 2020

Main Street Greencastle, along with the Putnam County Chamber, is inviting the community to an open house on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to visit some of the new spaces located in the downtown.

Businesses that will be open include Green Room Salon and Conspire: Contemporary Craft, which will have a sidewalk sale. Others will be Blushing Beaus on Washington Street, Vintage Spirit, Simply Rustik and The Warehouse Gym on Indiana Street and The Bar at Almost Home on Franklin Street.

Wasser Brewing Company will also host the first of several new “street pianos” that will be installed downtown as part of the Greencastle Piano Project. Local artist Matt Reese -- who designed the piano -- will be available to talk about the concept.

“This Saturday, take time to stop by and see what all these places have to offer,” Putnam County Chamber Executive Director Brian Cox said. “They have invested in our community. Now it is our turn to invest into seeing what they have to offer.”

  • You don't get out much Donny, do you? You probably know it as the old NAPA car parts store.
