Katheryn Olita Silver

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Katheryn Olita Silver, left this world for her heavenly home on Sept. 30, 2020.

She was born in Colt, Ark., to Jesse and Virda Mae (Hodge) Algood.

She is survived by her sister, Pauline Williams of Bloomington; brother Malvin Algood of Florida; children Wayne Garland (Denise) of North Carolina, Kerry Garland (Martha) of Tennessee, Linda Y. Butler (Brian) of Greencastle, Paulette Justice Sackmann (Paul) of Nashville, Ind., Steve Silver (Amber) of Mooresville and Susan Persinger of Clay City; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Kay Silver, and her brother, Clarence Algood.

She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family will have a private service due to COVID concerns.
