Emma Katherine Gorham

Emma Katherine Gorham, 93, of Stilesville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020.

Born March 1, 1927 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Roy C. and Mabel F. (McAninch) Buis.

She was a 1945 graduate of Fillmore High School.

Emma was homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Bob) Rosenblatt of Tennessee, Jill (Kent) Joslin of Brazil and Troy (Lora) Gorham of Coatesville; a sister, Blanche Stubblefield; a sister-in-law, Norma Dorsett; six grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, James Gorham; brothers Leon, Charles and Lloyd Buis; sisters Ruth Woods, Ella Rarridon and Vera Jean Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Stilesville Cemetery with interment to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Emma to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
