Though it’s only day one of early voting in Indiana, the Putnam County Courthouse is already bustling with voters Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 3 general election. The polling location and line of prospective voters had occupied three sides of the second floor on Tuesday morning. Voters wishing to cast their ballots prior to Election Day will have the opportunity each weekday on the second floor of the courthouse from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. through noon on Monday, Nov. 2. Additionally, the courthouse will be open for early voting from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 31. Other absentee voting options such as voting by mail and the traveling board may also be available. Call the Putnam County Voter Registration Office at 655-1538 to learn more. Of course, the eight vote centers in Putnam County will also be open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Election Day.
