MONROVIA -- The interstate 70 project in Hendricks County will have overnight lane closures this week, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

From Tuesday, Oct.13 through Thursday, Oct.15 there will be various lane closures on I-70 westbound between State Road 39 (Exit 59) to State Road 267 (Exit 66) for asphalt patching operations.

Closures will take place between 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. the following morning.

Milestone Contractors was awarded the $43.9 million project that will rebuild the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 from a half-mile west of SR 267 to Ronald Reagan Parkway and patch the interstate from just west of SR 267 to SR 39.

The westbound lanes will be rebuilt this year with the eastbound lane construction occurring in 2021.

The project is scheduled for completion in early summer of 2022.
