Lila May Edwards

Lila May Edwards, 87, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020.

Born Feb. 7, 1933 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Rosalie (McCutchon) Jarvis.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Lila was a homemaker and had worked at the Putnam Inn restaurant.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Brian) Penley and Robert Edwards (Patty) Edwards; grandchildren, Jacob (Crystal) Whalen, Jennifer Edwards, Sonya (Casey) Abston, Clay (Annie) Compton and Brittney Penley; great-grandchildren Jarvis and Chet Abston and Benjamin, Colton, Elizabeth and Andrew Compton.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stephen Edwards; and an infant daughter, Elizabeth Edwards.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
