Homemakers Week

Monday, October 19, 2020
Acknowledging Extension Homemakers in the community, Putnam County Commissioner Rick Woodall signs a proclamation recognizing the week of Oct. 18-24 as Indiana Extension Homemakers Week in Putnam County. Homemaker Vice President Kelly Robertson (right) told the commissioners the various Extension clubs in the county will be focusing on community service this week, particularly the Coats for Kids event on Saturday at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. There will also be an Extension Homemakers Luncheon on Wednesday. Robertson said the COVID-19 pandemic has been quite the adjustment for homemakers clubs in the county, with Zoom meetings the norm in 2020. Also present for the proclamation are commissioners David Berry (left) and Don Walton.

  • Sorry to see two of our commissioners without mask.

  • I have noticed other current pictures like business openings with no masks. Why no comment then? What is the criteria for condemning some pictures but not others? The clarity would help so we would know when it is or isn't ok to wear masks in pictures.

  • I am the lady in the mask. I was representing Purdue University Putnam County thus the mask was requested. I appreciate Rick Woodall wearing his..despite signs entering the courthouse very few had them on..not just Mr. Berry and Mr. Walton..they just happened to be in the photo.

The photo was intended to recognize and celebrate our Extension Homemakers.
