Coatesville man killed in one-car Parke County accident

ROCKVILLE -- A 23-year-old Coatesville man was fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday evening in southwestern Parke County.

Kristian Stephen Michael Warrick was southbound on U.S. 41, driving a 1998 Ford Mustang when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle, went left of center and left the roadway near County Road 200 West, south of Rockville.

Parke County Sheriff’s Office deputies said the car went through a fence and across the pasture before rolling over several times.

Warrick was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of the 5 p.m. accident, authorities said.

Deputies said excessive speed was determined to be a factor in the accident.

Cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.
