Putnam County Hospital to host 2020 Gala virtually

Putnam County Hospital will be holding its fourth-annual black tie Gala virtually on Saturday, Nov. 21.

The Gala raises funds each year for the Putnam County Cancer Center.

Tickets for the 2020 Gala include a meal, which may be picked up at Owl Ridge (3333 S. U.S. 231, Greencastle) the evening of the event, a link to the virtual program, the link to the online silent auction and a special 2020 Gala mask.

Tickets are still available and may be purchased by calling Putnam County Hospital at 301-7528.

Putnam County Hospital has been working on a plan to continue allowing the community to support the Cancer Center while maintaining safety during the pandemic.

Individuals who purchase a ticket will have the option to pick up their meal at Owl Ridge. Meal pick-up will be designated upon purchase of the tickets. Putnam Inn will be featuring three different entrée choices. The entrees will be served with a vegetable, starch and dessert.

Volunteers will be at Quail Ridge to help direct traffic and deliver meals to cars.

Once a ticket has been purchased, the ticket holder will receive the program and information to join both the virtual program and silent auction in the mail.

Putnam County Hospital and Distinct Web Design have joined forces to create a virtual program that will include live updates during the silent auction. Putnam County Hospital hopes this will create a fun and interactive event.

The silent auction will begin on Thursday, Nov. 19 at noon and run through Saturday, Nov. 21 at 9 p.m. There is an option to pay via the virtual platform or pay by check or cash in person.

Successful bidders may pick up their items on Nov. 23 or 25 from 1-4 p.m. Any items not picked up will be delivered the following week.

The virtual program will feature two testimonials from patients of the Cancer Center and the unveiling of Putnam County Medical Transport Van that has been the focal point of the collective fundraising efforts.

Tickets are $75 and may be purchased by calling Putnam County Hospital at 301-7528. Checks may also be mailed to 1542 S. Bloomington St., Greencastle, IN 46135.
