John C. Anderson

John C. Anderson, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.

He was born on Feb. 20, 1943 in Ladoga to the late John W. and Pearl (Miller) Anderson.

On June 26, 1995, in Indianapolis, he married Brenda (Bernard) Anderson. She survives.

John graduated from Bainbridge with the class of 1961. He traveled all over the country working as an iron worker, building bridges and buildings for more than 30 years. He enjoyed helping people, bargain hunting, watching old westerns, working in his yard and keeping it looking good, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son Jay (Shelly) Anderson; three stepsons, Karl Steenbergen, Keith Chapman and Jason Chapman; seven grandchildren; sister Judy Flint; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rita Anderson.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 at Bainbridge Cemetery with Pastor Brad Phillips to officiate.
