INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Republican Eric Holcomb has won re-election as Indiana governor, fending off challengers who criticized his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Holcomb went into his campaign for a second term with a huge fundraising advantage and didn’t face any well-known challengers. Holcomb sidestepped any criticism of President

Holcomb sidestepped any criticism of President Donald Trump even as Holcomb promoted face mask use and issued a statewide mask mandate in July. Holcomb overcame Democrat Woody Myer, a former state health commissioner who called for tougher anti-virus actions.

Some conservatives called Holcomb’s actions excessive and were, instead, backing Libertarian candidate Donald Rainwater.

  • Proving once again that no matter what these politicians do, their D or R base will keep voting for them.

  • Someone voted for the R and doesn’t even know why or what it means.

  • Someone voted for the D and didn't either.

Someone voted for the R and didn't know- agree

Someone voted for the R and did know

Someone voted for the R because they knew what the D would bring.

No matter the reason, we can support our reason for voting for someone but should respect others reason for their vote.

    Beauty of the system.

  • Forget all this voting nonsense! Where’s the big R/D? I just want to press it and leave.
