IN THE KNOW: Trigg earns runner-up finish; girls' basketball schedule changes

Greencastle High School senior Kennedy Trigg helped her United Soccer Alliance of Indiana U19 team to a runner-up finish at the Indy Fusion Fall Classic this past weekend.

Trigg scored in the championship match and slotted home a penalty kick during the course of the final, a loss to U19 Firebirds Black of Illinois.

Girls' Basketball Schedule Changes

Several girls’ basketball games involving Putnam County teams have been moved this week.

Cloverdale’s game with Clay City Tuesday and South Putnam’s game at Parke Heritage have both been postponed due to COVID. Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.

Due to the success of the South Putnam football team, the Eagle girls’ basketball game at Edgewood originally schedule for Friday will now be played Thursday night. JV tipoff will still be 6 p.m.

Regional Football at Brebeuf Jesuit

The IHSAA Football Class A Regional game between South Putnam and Covenant Christian will be played at Brebeuf Jesuit High School this Friday.

Ticket information will be updated when announced.

Cougar Night this Saturday

North Putnam High School will be hosting its Cougar Night boys’ basketball scrimmages Saturday evening in the High School gym beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Entry to the event is free. Donations are accepted.

Below is the schedule of events:

5:30 p.m. — Kindergarten/1st Grade

5:45 p.m. — 2nd/3rd Grade

6 p.m. — 3rd/4th Grade

6:15 p.m. — 5th/6th Grade

6:30 p.m. — High School three-point contest

6:45 p.m. — 7th/8th Grade

7 p.m. — High School scrimmage
