Madonna Pearl Elliott

Madonna Pearl Elliott, 89, of Bainbridge, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at Life’s Journey in Avon.

Madonna was born in Putnam County on Jan. 24, 1931, the daughter of Ivan and Lucille (Crosby) Proctor.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church and Bainbridge Improvement Society.

She worked for many years at North Putnam High School as a cook until her retirement. She also helped her husband farm.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Elliott (wife Sherry); a daughter-in-law, Deborah Elliott; four grandchildren, Shannon Johnson (husband Chris), Amanda Galbraith (husband Mike), Michael Elliott (wife Amanda) and Brandon Elliott (wife Courtney); nine great-grandchildren, Gracie, Elias, Lilly, Sophie, Jacob, Seth, Willow, Lola and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, David Elliott; a son, Michael Elliott Sr.; and two sisters, Garnet Huffman and Linda Hartman.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Bainbridge Alumni Association or Bainbridge Improvement Society.
