Joyce Irene Modlin

Joyce Irene Modlin, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born in Wadesboro, La., on Aug. 25, 1931, the daughter of Ben and Octavia (Lavagine) Wood.

She attended Bainbridge Schools.

Mrs. Modlin worked for 32 years with Mallory Capacitors until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Clifford Modlin; a daughter, Brenda Reed (husband Terry); a son, Darrel Modlin; three grandchildren, Jeff Modlin (wife Michelle), Jennifer Kistler (husband Jeff) and Rob Bundy; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at Brick Chapel Cemetery. Burial will follow the service.
