Winter Walking Group set for January, February

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Looking for a way to stay active this winter? Look no further.

Purdue Extension-Putnam County and Putnam County Hospital are hosting the second annual Winter Walking Group.

Walking is a popular form of physical activity – and good for your health. Only half of all American adults get the recommended amount of physical activity.

Join the Winter Walking Group each Tuesday in January and February from 9-10 a.m. in the York Automotive Community Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

All current IDOH and CDC COVID-19 requirements will be in place. Persons must wear a face covering when social distancing cannot be maintained.

Any age and fitness levels are welcome to join.

The group will gather for fitness and a bit of friendship. The dates for walking are Jan. 5, 12, 19, 26 and Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 9-10 in the morning.

To join, persons may call Hannah Cline at Putnam County Hospital (301-7641).

If you have any questions, or need reasonable accommodations, email sampsona@purdue.edu or 653-8411.
