Doing the Lord's Work

With nearly 300 Thanksgiving meals to prepare and serve, volunteers at Greencastle Christian Church keep busy around midday Thursday. Ben (above left) and Brayden Neureiter prepare a to-go meal, and a few minutes later, Joe Fields (below) prepares to take a tray full of meals to waiting clients. Approximately 30 volunteers helped prepare and serve the feast and many more supported the effort in other ways. Organizers expressed their thankfulness to the kindest of Hendershot's Service Center, Greencastle Presbyterian Church, Kroger, Myers' Market, Greencastle Christian Church as well as additional volunteers for their time, food and prayers. While this year's Thanksgiving outreach did not include a dine-in option due to COVID-19, drive-through and delivery were still available, including Thursday morning, when volunteers delivered meals to 30 airmen currently active in the Air National Guard.
