Courthouse Creation

Monday, December 21, 2020
Members of the Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County present a woodcut print of the Putnam County Courthouse created by Matt Rees to Judge Denny Bridges and Judge Matthew Headley in a recent courthouse ceremony. The artwork is from the limited series developed for the Indiana State Bar Association collection, of which one is still available. Plans are to hang the picture in the third-floor rotunda outside the courtrooms. Rees donated the print to HPS, which framed the piece at Wilson’s Photography Studio with a metal tag denoting the occasion. On hand for the presentation (from left) are Margaret Kenton, Bruce Gibbs, Phil Gick, Judge Headley, Judy Wilson, Judge Bridges and artist Matt Rees
