County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 2:28 a.m. Charles W. R. Powell, 32, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery, strangulation, criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement, intimidation and intimidation of law enforcement.

• At 1:16 a.m. Michael J. McCullough Jr., 25, Brazil, was taken into custody on a warrant.

Tuesday

• At 3:07 p.m. Michael A. Ramirez, 24, Poland, was booked in for domestic battery.

City Police

A three-vehicle accident was investigated Monday by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 5:53 p.m. Stephanie Mundy, 51, Coatesville, was attempting to turn left into the Speedway station at Indianapolis Road at 10th Street when her 2011 Jeep Wrangler was reportedly rear-ended by a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Andrew King, 32, Greencastle.

Impact of the collision caused the Mundy vehicle to strike a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Christina Smith, 47, Carbon.

Mundy complained of head pain after striking her head on the steering wheel, Officer Alec Pettit reported.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

Officer Pettit was assisted by the scene by Capt. Charles Inman.

One recent citation was issued by city officers.

• At 8:50 p.m.. Sunday, Charles Spiker, 40, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on County Road 100 East, near County Road 25 South, Spiker was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

City Fire

• At 5:53 p.m. on Monday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle with injuries on South Warren Drive. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5:56 p.m. and cleaned debris from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 6:45 p.m.

• At 10:21 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 855 N. CR 25 East for a chimney fire. Firefighters arrived at 10:29 and found a fire in a wood-burning stove on the property. The fire was controlled at about 11 a.m. GFD went back into service at 11:40 a.m.

• At 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a possible pedestrian hit at 1223 S. Bloomington St. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 11:46 and were advised that a passenger car had been struck. However, nobody was hurt and no actions were taken. GFD went back into service at 11:57 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed three medical assists and had two disregards.
