County Jail

Thirteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 2:25 a.m. John D. Pastrick, 26, Brazil, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine.

Wednesday

• At 8:45 p.m. Brian A. Shear, 35, Coatesville, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

• At 4:02 p.m. Joseph P. O’Conner, 51, Greencastle, was taken into custody for invasion of privacy.

• At 3:28 p.m. Ryan L. Beauchamp, 40, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for invasion of privacy.

• At 12:54 p.m. James D. Flatt, 36, Roachdale, was booked in for unauthorized absence from home detention, escape and on a local warrant.

• At 10:36 a.m. Stephanie F. Giltz, 48, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a court order.

Tuesday

• At 6:16 p.m. Julia A. Jensen, 25, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for official misconduct and trafficking with an inmate.

• At 5:34 p.m. Donald L. Dixie, 40, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for resisting law enforcement and on a local warrant.

• At 10:27 a.m. Dezman T.R. Butts, 20, Avon, was booked in for driving without ever receiving a license.

Monday

• At 3:30 p.m. Chase A. Duff, 24, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement.

• At 3:18 p.m. Ryan M. Coble, 23, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for driving with an ACE of .15 or more and on a local warrant.

• At 1:18 p.m. Derick W. Staten, 31, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for driving with a suspended license and on a local warrant.

• At 10:13 a.m. Cynthia S. Meadows, 43, Bedford, was booked in for insurance fraud, theft and on a local warrant.

City Police

One recent citation was issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 2:08 p.m. Tuesday, Timothy Moore, 34, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped at 10th Street near Putnam Plaza, Moore was cited for having an expired license plate (Aug. 14, 2020).

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 12:27 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 138 Woods Edge Blvd. for a carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:31 and did not find anything. GFD went back into service at 12:45 p.m.

• At 12:54 p.m. on Monday, GFD responded to a shed fire located adjacent from 436 Anderson St. Firefighters arrived at 12:57 and extinguished the fire. GFD went back into service at 1:20 p.m.

• At 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 464 E. Ridgeland Rd. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2:02 p.m. and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm was reset. GFD went back into service at 2:14 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed nine medical assists and had one disregard.
