Carolyn Sue Lawless

Carolyn Sue Lawless, 87, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.

Born Jan. 19, 1933 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of William Cully and Doris May (Oakley) Price and a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Carolyn was a homemaker and worked at DePauw University for eight years as an acquisition assistant.

She is survived by her sons, David (Ruth Bollman) Lawless, Tim (Leanne) Lawless and Joe (Karla) Lawless, all of Greencastle; a sister, Evelyn Underwood; grandchildren Adam Lawless, Andrea (Brent) Otenburg, Jeremy (Angela) Lawless, Nathaniel (Ashley) Lawless, Joshua (Christen) Lawless, Daryn (Meredith) Clifford, Marki (James) Jared and Rian Perkins; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Alva Lawless, and sisters Judy Price and Nancy Baldwin.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
