Baird has violated oath of office

Monday, January 18, 2021

To the Editor:

James Richard Baird, as a representative of the Fourth District, has violated his oath of office to the Constitution of the United States of America.

He voted to deny the count of millions of legal and legitimate votes. His vote was a clear-cut effort to overthrow the election of the president of the United States. He has trashed our democracy.

I contacted him before his vote; he responded with no rationale for his vote. He did not speak about his vote when taken on Jan. 6, 2021.

I have now seen that he has a seditious and insurrectionist mindset. I am hopeful he will be held to the provisions of 18 United States Code 2383 and the 14th Amendment, Section 3 that regulate the abhorrent activity of a person that is a clear and present danger to the people and the government of the people of the United States.
