Grant to help local small businesses

Putnam County Commissioners and the City of Greencastle are each individually applying for a grant from the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs (IOCRA) to help local small businesses within county limits and city limits that have been adversely affected by COVID-19.

The Commissioners are reaching out to businesses with 25 employees or fewer which have been negatively impacted during the period of September through November 2020.

The maximum grant for each business could be up to $10,000 dependent upon number of applications received.

Application packets may also be picked up at the Putnam County Courthouse Auditor’s Office, 1 Courthouse Square, Greencastle, or Greencastle City Hall, 1 N. Locust St.

Application packets are due no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 and should be mailed or hand delivered in a sealed envelope addressed to: Putnam County Courthouse Auditor’s Office, Attn: COVID-19, 1 Courthouse Square, Suite 20, Greencastle, IN 46135 or the City of Greencastle Mayor’s Office, Attn: COVID-19, 1 N. Locust St., Greencastle, IN 46135 or you may email your completed application packet to tami@gcpcdc.com.
