IHSAA Girls' Basketball Sectional Draws Announced
The IHSAA released the girls’ basketball sectional draws Sunday night with Greencastle heading to Tri-West while Cloverdale and North Putnam play at South Putnam. Dates and times are yet to be announced.
In Class 3A Sectional No. 25, the Tiger Cubs (9-9) will face the host Bruins (12-6) in the opening round with the winner to face the winner of Danville (9-10) and Crawfordsville (5-10). Monrovia (7-9) plays Frankfort (2-15) in the opening game of the sectional with North Montgomery (3-12) awaiting the winner of the game between the Bulldogs and Hot Dogs.
In Class 2A Sectional No. 44, the Clovers (3-17) face Parke Heritage (11-6) in a rematch from this past week, one in which the Wolves used a 24-point fourth quarter to win 37-29. North Putnam (10-10) will play the winner, having defeated Cloverdale 66-51 and 50-34 this year while losing to Parke Heritage 58-50 on Jan. 7.
The Eagles (11-1) face Riverton Parke (3-13) on the second night of play. Southmont (11-3) awaits the winner between the hosts and Panthers. The Mounties defeated Riverton Parke 56-31 Jan. 5 while the game between Southmont and South Putnam scheduled for Nov. 23 was canceled.
Girls’ basketball play begins Tuesday, Feb. 2.
