Athletic events open up for spectators

Thursday, January 28, 2021

Putnam County remained in the Orange Status on the Indiana Department of Health COVID-19 map for the past two weeks, meaning athletics at the four county schools have moved back to their orange map guidelines.

Attendance at athletic contests will now be open to the public up to 25 percent capacity. Tickets may still need to be purchased online and scanned at the door depending on the venue. Patrons are still recommend to sit within family blocks and distance as needed. Concessions will be allowed to be served at venues.

All other standards, such as spacing, masks, etc., will still be enforced at the event. Before going to an event, fans are advised to check with an athlete who is involved or with the school where you are planning to go. Attendance is also subject to change based on the opposing school coming from a county that is still designated as Red on the COVID-19 map.
