PUTNAMVILLE — Staff at the Putnamville Correctional Facility are acknowledging the service of one of their own as he begins a military deployment to the Middle East.

Sgt. Chris Guymon was recently deployed to Kuwait, where he will serve as an ammunition specialist for up to the next year.

“It is my sincere pleasure to express my appreciation for the truly commendable contributions Sgt. Guymon has made to the Indiana Department of Corrections and Putnamville Correctional Facility,” Warden Dushan Zatecky stated.

“Guymon is the best friend I could have ever asked for; I have never met someone so loyal in friendship and their duties,” said Putnamville Fire Chief Wyatt Dunkley. “Having worked with Guymon through periods of frustration and success has been the highlight of my career.”

“Sgt. Guymon remains positive, encouraging and willing to help with any task,” Capt. John Steckler added. “Without individuals that show such loyalty and devotion to their duties, much would not have been possible to accomplish.”
