Baby, It’s Cold Outside

With the snow piled high and temperatures hovering in in the single digits, or worse, it’s been a good few days to remain indoors. Of course, the snow-covered landscapes offered their own rewards, such as a view of Houck Covered Bridge...

...or the beautiful sunrise captured by a Putnam County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday.

Additionally, there are hazards to staying put, such as the poor soul who left a vehicle atop a pile of snow in the South Putnam parking lot (bottom left) and will now have to pay a tow bill.

There’s also the Putnam County Veterans Officer vehicle, parked safely in its spot on Courthouse Square, where it looks like it might be snowbound until April.
