On Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, Clarinda Ann Kersey passed away at the age of 59.

Clindy’s life began in North Carolina, ended in Indiana and also took her to live in far-off places like Utah, Florida, Maryland and England.

An artist at heart, Clindy earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and a master’s degree in interactive media from Quinnipiac University. She illustrated books, made beautiful crafts and volunteered her time for causes important to her. She loved to laugh, celebrate nature, travel and be a grandma.

Clindy was preceded in death by her father James Sanders.

She is survived by her husband Ken Kersey; mother Kathryn Sanders; brothers James “Pat” Sanders (Sarah) and Chris Sanders; children Jake Livingston (Jenny), Jenny Dunn (Blake) and Martha “Katie” Lucas (Matt); grandchildren Miles, Olive, Savana, Audric, Sierra, Phoenix and Bentley; crazy cats Hazel and Skeeter; and too many very near and dear friends and family to list.

Clarinda was returned to the earth to grow again as a beautiful tree near her grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be announced in late spring.

Donations in Clindy’s honor can be made to the Columbus Area Arts Council.
