COVID-19 vaccinations now available for ages 55 and above

Tuesday, March 2, 2021

The Putnam County Health Department announced Tuesday that the Indiana Department of Health has lowered the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility age to 55 and older.

As with before, all vaccinations require an appointment in advance. Appointments may be made by calling 2-1-1 or vising www.putnamhealthindiana.org and selecting the COVID-19 Vaccinations link at the top of the page.

More than 1 million Hoosiers have received a COVID-19 vaccine, including more 4,300 Putnam County Residents.

“Indiana continues to be a top performer in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout,” Putnam County Public Health Nurse Sara Burnett said, “and we know it would not be possible without the support of our community, volunteers and partners that have helped to make the vaccination clinic a success.”
