Michael ‘Mike’ Lanham

Michael “Mike” “Big Ugly” Lanham, 45, Bluffton, Ohio, formerly of Bainbridge, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 at 4:12 p.m at his residence after a long battle with heart disease and diabetes.

Mike was born Dec. 22, 1975 in Okinawa, Japan, to Michael Lanham and Linda Kinn.

Mike graduated from North Putnam High School. He was part of the Iron Workers Local 290.

He was an avid sports fan. Mike loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson.

Mike was a pet lover and loved spending time with his two dogs, Chucky and Marley, and his cat Max. He also found enjoyment in fishing with his friends Terry and Danny. Mike cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Lanham and George Lanham.

Mike is survived by his father Michael Lanham of Greencastle; mother Linda Kinn of Bluffton; sisters Christina Lanham of Seagrove, N.C., and Pam (Chris) Kashman of Bainbridge; two nephews; four nieces; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends Terry Howell of Cairo, Ohio, and Danny Herr of Lima, Ohio.

Visitation will be Friday from noon-2 p.m. at the Bluffton Chapel.

A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5 at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton Chapel. Father John McLoughlin will officiate the service.
