Coleen Mahoney Clines

Coleen Mahoney Clines, 93, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021.

Born on Oct. 18, 1927 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Robert Donald and Pearl (Allee) Mahoney.

She was a 1945 graduate of Greencastle High School.

On Oct. 22, 1949 she married Robert E. Clines and to this union was born a son, Dallas R. Clines. Robert passed away in 2003. Coleen and Robert celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1999, she was so happy, as they were the only ones in her family to accomplish this milestone.

Coleen worked in the office at Farm Bureau Co-op before going to DePauw University, where she worked for 15 years in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. She had also worked in several other offices at DePauw, helping out when they needed extra help.

She liked to be around people. Coleen bowled for several years and also with her husband in doubles.

Coleen is survived by her son, Dallas, and his wife Wanda; grandchildren Jennifer Hites husband Mike, Chris Clines and Elizabeth Clines and companion Wayne Raphael; two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Zachary; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Eileen Ridgway and half sister Nancy McVay.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
