Helen Ilene Martin

Helen Ilene Martin, 85, of Reelsville, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.

She was born March 31, 1935 in Reelsville, the daughter of James Otto and Mildred Florence (Early) Barnett.

She was a graduate of Reelsville High School and received her teaching degree from Indiana State University.

Helen retired from Reelsville Elementary School where she had taught fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade health and science classes for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Martin, and her parents.

Helen is survived by her sisters, Arthuretta E. Miller and Edna Love; a brother, Harold Barnett; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 15 at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Helen to the Reelsville Fire Department, 7748 S. CR 625 West, Reelsville, IN 46135.
