Donald Lee Little, 81, of Hillsboro, passed away in the Knapp Medical Center, Weslaco, Texas, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 following a short illness.

He was born in Tazewell, Va., to the late Vernie L. and Sara Buck Little.

He married his “angel” Lola Marie Snapp on Nov. 3, 1961 and she survives.

Don attended Belle Union High School in Belle Union. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1957 and served in Germany until his discharge in 1960. He retired after a career as a truck driver.

Surviving along with his wife Lola are two daughters, Tracy (Bob) Peterman of Newbury Park, Calif., and Tammy (Bryan) Graves of Crawfordsville; a son, Troy (Kim) Little of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren, Bobby and Anthony Peterman, Bryce, Zach and Courtney McCoy and Grace and Reagan Little; step-grandchildren Raven and Daniel Graves and Zayn Risner; great-grandson Brendan Peterman; two sisters; Jeanne (Russ) Varvel of Filmore and Suzie Little of Tazewell, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen Little and brother John Little.

Visitation hours are noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with a celebration of life service immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Lawler officiating. Private family inurnment will be at New Richmond Cemetery.
