Park Dept. has variety of programs to offer this spring

Thursday, March 18, 2021

Chrysta Snellenberger, assistant park director for the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department, is reminding everyone of the Lego My Own Creation Challenge, as well as the build-your-own Peeps scene.

How creative are you? What can you come up with? You also have a chance to win a prize.

Easter programs sponsored by the Park Department include an Easter Egg Hunt Take Home Kit, as well as a Non-Traditional Easter Egg Hunt.

The Non-Traditional Easter Egg Hunt is designed for families to not have to leave their car. You will get a page with riddles to solve to find the eggs in the front windows of local businesses. Once you solve the riddle and find the egg, fill out your sheet and return it to Chrysta Snellenberger at the Robe-Ann Park office for your prize.

Persons may call the park office if you have questions at 653-3395 or email csnellenberger@cityofgreencastle.com. You must preregister each child for each program. Parents should not register themselves and expect more than one kit. Park officials need to know how many kits they need to make and how many prizes are needed. Register online at greencastleparks.com under the programs tab.

Meanwhile, the Park Department will also be hosting photos with the Easter Bunny 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27. Persons must also preregister for this as well.

The Easter Egg Hunt Take Home kit will be picked up by appointment only and prizes can be picked up by appointment only.
