Healthcare Decisions Day

Thursday, April 15, 2021
Recognizing the importance of the need to plan ahead for health care decisions related to end-of-life care, Greencastle Mayor Bill Dory (seated, center) signs a proclamation recognizing Friday, April 16 as National Healthcare Decisions Day in Putnam County. Dory is joined for the proclamation by representatives of the Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association (front, from left) Jinsie Bingham, Executive Director Elaine Peck, (back) Co-President Tammy Hunter, Community Education Chairman Brand Selvia and Judi Purvis. One of the principal goals of Healthcare Decisions Day is to encourage hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement communities and hospices to provide clear and consistent information to the public about advance directives.
