Greencastle woman arrested for OMVI with kids in her car

ROCKVILLE -- A 29-year-old Putnam County woman is facing child neglect and endangerment charges after being arrested in Parke County for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with young children in the car.

According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, Kaitlyn Vesey of Greencastle was pulled over Tuesday just outside of Bellmore.

Deputies determined she was under the influence. They also reportedly found methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy or Molly), marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Vesey was transported to the Parke County Jail on the OVWI and neglect charges as well as multiple drug-related offenses.

Meanwhile, a passenger in the vehicle, Peter Benedict, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
