County Jail

Eight people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 12:33 p.m. Jason L. Jones, 41, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

Saturday

• At 9:55 p.m. James W. Frazier, 34, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Thursday

• At 11:37 a.m. Brandi L. Clodfelter, 40, Clayton, was housed at the jail for a probation violation.

• At 10:55 a.m. Natasha R. Baker, 31, Indianapolis, was booked in on a Marion County warrant.

• At 10:44 a.m. Richard D. Carver, 47, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and driving while intoxicated.

• At 9:05 a.m. Kyle Fisher, 27, Fillmore, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended with a prior conviction.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 9:57 p.m. Thursday, Christopher Smith, 29, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman.

Arrested at a Moore Court residence, Smith was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charge of invasion of privacy.

One recent citation was issued by city officers.

• At 6:02 p.m. Thursday, Koteoi Aoki, 34, Spencer, was cited by Officer Angela Taylor.

Stopped on U.S. .231 North, Aoki was ticketed for having an expired registration.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to four recent emergencies:

• At 1:26 a.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries at 910 E. Washington St. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 1:35 and cleaned fluid from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 1:49 a.m.

• At 3:58 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was toned out for a blown transformer at 1400 Indianapolis Rd. Firefighters arrived in the area at 4:04 p.m. but were advised that they were not needed. GFD went back into service at 4:14 p.m.

• At 9:26 a.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to the apartments at 604 S. Main St. in Cloverdale for a reported structure fire. Firefighters arrived at 9:40 and cleared an apartment of smoke after a fire involving a trash bin. GFD went back into service at 10:25 a.m.

• At 9:35 a.m. on Monday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries near the Walmart Supercenter. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:42 and were advised by medics that they were not needed. GFD cleaned glass from the roadway, then went back into service at 10:02 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed seven medical assists.
