The Mary Allison Children’s Trust recently donated $1,000 to Special Services Teacher Misty Weeks and her class at Greencastle Middle School to assist with purchasing ingredients for the Cooking Project.

The Cooking Project will allow students to explore topics including health and nutrition, measurements and fractions, chemistry, cause and effect, safety and cleanliness and financial budgeting. Additionally, students will work toward becoming more independent by being able to prepare meals for themselves and others, as well as doing the necessary activities before and after cooking.

For more information on the Mary Allison Children’s Trust and the Cooking Project, call 765-655-2333 or email Ginger Scott at gscott@wabashcapital.com.
