Meanwhile, Cloverdale’s math team had the fifth-best score with 13, while the fine arts team was sixth with 18 points.

For Greencastle, the math team was the story of the day, setting the pace for the entire Class 3 field with 24 points.

The Greencastle science team tied for the top score with 23, but placed third on a tie breaker.

For North Putnam, the English team advanced with 24 points, placing third on a tie breaker.

Among the top six in their respective classes and disciplines, the local advancing teams will represent their schools in the virtual state finals on May 10.

The GHS interdisciplinary team also narrowly missed advancing, tying for the fourth-best score but finishing seventh on tie breakers.
