Spring Dessert

Thursday, May 13, 2021
The Putnam County Extension Homemakers celebrated Spring Dessert recently, with 33 members present along with Extension Educator Abbi Sampson. The theme was “Aprons,” with those in attendance encouraged to wear an old favorite. New members were recognized and a memorial service held for those members who passed away. Members were encouraged to bring craft items for judging along with an apron made by them. Winners in the competitions include (from left) Mary Alice Harcourt in knitting/crocheting, Anita Peters for the specialty apron category, Kelly Robertson for other-craft category and Claire Winings in quilts. Peters and Winings were selected to represent Putnam County at the Home and Family Conference in June.
