County Jail

Twelve people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 4:58 p.m. Michael J. Cagle, 61, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for theft and for being a habitual traffic violator.

• At 4:23 p.m. Misty D. Moore, 38, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

• At 6:23 a.m. Matthew R. Hubbard, 36, Roachdale, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 3:04 a.m. Timothy L. Swafford, 44, Terre Haute, was booked in on a warrant.

• At 2:50 a.m. Cody A. Airhart, 31, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

• At 2:47 a.m. Dustin M. Tippin, 45, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant.

• At 2:03 a.m. Johnny R. Corder, 29, Spencer, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 2:01 a.m. Bradley G. Baugh, 20, Spencer, was booked in on a warrant.

Tuesday

• At 12:24 p.m. Zachary D. Schacht, 30, Reelsville, was booked in on a pair of Johnson County warrants.

• At 4:33 a.m. Ryant K. Ford, 45, Beech Grove, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.

Monday

• At 12:27 p.m. Ryan L. Beauchamp, 41, Greencastle, was taken into custody for invasion of privacy.

• At 11:49 a.m. Brian A. Ping, 36, Roachdale, was housed at the jail for criminal trespass.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, James A. Workman, 28, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Taken into custody at a Castlebury Apartments residence, Workman was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a local warrant for failure to appear in court on original charges of driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.

• At 10:27 p.m. Tuesday, Logan J. Pizzo, 30, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail for possession of a controlled substance (a Schedule II drug), Pizzo was arrested at the Greencastle Greenmart Shell station on Bloomington Street.

• At 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, David W. Thompson, 34, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer McDaniel.

Taken into custody on Indianapolis Road, Thompson was held on a Putnam County warrant for battery by bodily waste on a public service officer and battery resulting in moderate bodily injury.

Thompson was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 5:51 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 208 W. Walnut St. for a small trash fire. Firefighters arrived at 5:55 and found that police had already put out the fire with extinguishers. GFD checked out the property then went back into service at 6:03 a.m.

• At 12:52 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to the Putnam County Public Library for an elevator issue. Firefighters arrived at 12:58 and found no problem. GFD went back into service at 1:02 a.m.

• At 9:42 a.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in front of the Putnam County Hospital. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:45 and extricated a person who was trapped. GFD then assisted with patient care and cleaned debris from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 10:32 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed three medical assists and had two disregards.
