Arthur L. Scott

Arthur L. Scott, 87, of Cloverdale, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Born Oct. 1, 1933 in Kentucky, he was the son of Arthur M. Scott and Florence (Hatfield) Scott.

He married Carolyn Cooksey and she preceded him in death.

Arthur had worked as a farmer his whole life. He also owned Scott’s Elevator for 25 years and worked at Allison Transmission for 37 years. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Putnamville.

Survivors includes five children, Randy Scott and wife Debby, Eric Scott and wife Sherri, Michele Padgett and husband Dennis, Bryan Scott and Douglas Scott and husband Dale; brother James Scott; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild

He was preceded by his parents and wife.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cloverdale Cemetery. www.BousleyFuneralHome.com
