Fannie Laura Stout

Fannie Laura (Jones) Stout, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

She was born Jan. 25, 1943, in Pluckemin, N.J., to the late Edgar and Ida May (Ulmer) Jones.

Fannie worked for Sodexo at DePauw University and The Children’s Museum (Indianapolis) until retirement.

She was a member of Vineyard Community Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Haberle (Joseph Shaw) of Fort Wayne, Diane Roska (Roger, deceased), Candace Duggan (Thomas) and Laurie Douglas (Rick), all of Greencastle; siblings Edgar Jones (New Jersey), Candi Kaumo (California) and Lee Jones (Washington); 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her longtime partner Thomas Noerr, daughter Roberta Haberle, grandson Bradley Haberle, brother Harry Oakes, sisters Bertha Ditzel, Mary Smith, Lily Furness, son-in-law Roger Roska, and several nieces and nephews.

She loved to spend time with her family and friends, sewing, quilting, crocheting, cooking and spending time at church.

Final arrangements and care are being entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, Indianapolis. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.
